What this site is

Kuala Lumpur Dentist Guide is an independent directory covering 283 dentist businesses across Kuala Lumpur. It exists for people trying to shortlist a clinic quickly: someone comparing options near Bangsar, Mont Kiara, or the city centre, someone who just moved and needs a dentist their insurance covers, or someone chasing a specific treatment and wanting to see who actually handles it well according to their own patients.

We are also honest about the other half of what we do. Kuala Lumpur Dentist Guide is an independent directory and comparison resource, and we also generate enquiries for local providers. When you ask to be matched with a clinic, we pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request, and we may receive a referral fee for that introduction. That arrangement is disclosed again on the quote page itself, and it never touches scores or earned rankings. The two functions, ranking and matching, are kept on separate tracks on purpose.

Where the listings come from

Each profile starts from public business information: things like address, hours, services offered, and contact details. We layer in a synthesis of recent Google reviews to summarise what patients are actually saying about wait times, treatment quality, staff manner, and pricing patterns. We do not republish review text or copy Google’s content; instead we link out to the business’s Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself.

How ranking actually works

Every ranking on this site comes from a published rubric applied to that public data, nothing else. No clinic can pay to move up, and no clinic can pay to move down a competitor. The full scoring approach, including what factors count and how they’re weighted, is laid out on our methodology page.

Sponsorship, when it appears, is labelled “Sponsored” and displayed as a separate block from the earned ranking. A sponsored placement changes where something is highlighted on the page. It never changes a clinic’s score, its position in the ranked list, or the sentiment summary attached to it.

Corrections and editorial control

A business listed here can request corrections to its own factual details: hours, phone number, address, services, that kind of thing. What a business cannot do is edit its own score, its review sentiment summary, or its ranking. Those are calculated, not negotiated.

Editorial oversight of the rankings sits with Sarah, Editor. Data is refreshed monthly across the directory, and each listing carries a “last verified” stamp so you can see it’s being actively maintained rather than left to go stale.
